The highly anticipated sci-fi exploration title Starfield is set to mark its release on the 6th of September. While there have previously been a lot of claims around Starfield’s access on different consoles, the latest Valve move has left the fans curious. Here’s why the fans have started believing Steam Deck would be bringing Bethesda’s open-world cosmos home.

Valve updated Steam Deck OS possibly for Starfield!

In the recent series of events, Valve the developers of Steam Deck have invited a lot of fans spotlight. It would be reasonable to assume that the somewhat enigmatic upgrade Valve recently deployed to the Steam Deck OS is connected to Bethesda’s epic. The most recent SteamOS beta version on the Steam Deck includes a fix for a GPU problem in an unidentified future game. 

The gaming community has more than enough reasons to believe the game is none other than the Xbox-exclusive space adventure. Considering the countdown to Starfield has begun with early access coming on September 1, the speculation seems like a true possibility. Well, of course, Steam Deck has its own limitations for hosting Starfield on the console.

Starfield Might Just Break Free Bethesda Out of Launch Bug Cycle

For a game as gigantic as the sci-fi exploration, there’s a definitive eligibility setup requirement. Although the specs haven’t officially been revealed yet, gamers can narrow down the requirements from previous Bethesda giants. No surprises, The developers have always been demanding! 

The AMD Connection

Fans are hoping that a lighter mod version of the game would be a perfect fit for the low-power console. The Valve console runs on low-efficiency AMD hardware. One more reason for Bethesda to release a special mod version for the console. As the developers have had a decent run of deals with AMD in the past.

It is important to note that officially the reason for which Valve made the adjustments hasn’t been revealed. Besides, there being direct hints towards the tie-up with Starfield, gamers would have to wait for an official confirmation. If the rumors are to be trusted, any announcement on the Steam Deck version seems imminent.

The upcoming Xbox giant is running first on the Steam wishlist and has already entered the list of top-selling games even prior to its release. Thus, it might just be an ideal move to spread the reach of the game by bringing it on the Deck.
