Valve Steps Up Steam Deck Production To Challenge the Widely Successful Nintendo Switch

Steam Deck has been gaining momentum since the beginning of the year. And after witnessing mostly positive reactions so far, it’s become a must-have device for many users across the globe. In a recent update, Valve revealed its intended plans regarding the mass production of the PC and also offered “clarity” on the orders.

Valve intends to mass-produce Steam Deck units in 2022!

In its latest message, the company shared the upcoming roadmap about its handheld gaming PC. The Steam Deck team mentioned it has already sent the order emails for the “second batch of Q1 reservations.”

Moreover, it also revealed two announcements, focusing on the mass production of Steam Deck units in 2022.

Valve is consistently working on boosting manufacturing so that it can produce a large number of devices, according to the update. And that they now have “more clarity on our longer term production schedule.”

Hence, in addition to the first and second quarter, all the reservers can now check regarding their chance in the third quarter availability window. They can do so by going to the Steam Product page. But they need to be logged into their account in order to see if there is availability or not with regard to the device.

Furthermore, Steam Deck will reach more countries by the end of 2022, as per Valve. They are looking to expand the handheld gaming PC in Japan as well. Again, the team is working on all these aspects to achieve the goals before the year’s end.

Overall, it’s pretty good news for those who are thinking to have a Deck soon. Now, they won’t get disappointed at least, since the production phase is expected to go smoothly in the coming months.
