Nintendo fans hyped to see Tetris 99 x Kirby, and the Forgotten Land!

Ever since its initial debut in 2019, the tile-matching game has mostly impressed the fans. It’s basically free, but only for those users who are members of the NSO subscription service. Basically, it operates in a battle royale-like format with 99 players competing at once simultaneously.

The Maximus Cup will begin on April 22 and will run till April 25. What lies ahead for the curious players is an iconic Kirby theme upon successfully accumulating 100 event points. The theme will also feature art, music, and Tetrimino designs, all inspired by the new Kirby installment.

Speaking of how one can participate, then it’s quite simple to do. Players, who are Nintendo Switch Online members, have to play the Tetris 99 online mode during the duration of the event period. They will earn event points, depending on their placement in every individual match.

Once they amass 100 points, players will eventually get to receive a brand new theme from Kirby and the Forgotten Land. Additionally, past themes of older Kirby entries will be available as well, for one in-game ticket each, until April 30. These will be based on the Kirby Fighters 2 and Super Kirby Clash.

Well, one thing is certain to happen with this Maximus Cup. Players are likely to have a lot of fun upon entering this crossover.

Meanwhile, fans were quite happy to see this interesting announcement from Nintendo. Many of them were hyped to play Tetris once again, thanks to a sweet blend of Kirby. One excited player wrote: “I was waiting for this, very hyped.”

For those who want to enjoy either of these two offerings, both of them are available on the Switch Online service.
