Shaquille O’Neal is one of the most renowned personalities known for his fabulous basketball career and expertise in the business line. Shaq’s intellectual mind has also ranked him high on the list of successful athletes, as he always has the right mindset, be it anything.

However, before achieving the fortune he has, Shaq was in a battle to become the greatest in the industry. During that time, he managed to break records, suffer losses, and made a strong comeback whenever required.

As a result, a popular video game company honored him with a dedicated video game, “Shaq-fu.” The game featured Shaq on an epic journey to save a little boy stuck in another dimension. Shaq-fu was a game no one was expecting, as it featured the basketball player in a different dimension altogether.

In the 90s, Nintendo decided to honor the basketball maestro with his own video game. They approached Shaq with the idea of creating a basketball-related game, as they wanted him to feature in that genre.

However, Shaq, being a die-hard fan of a different genre, rejected the idea of saying that they could spice things up differently. As a result, he mentioned his favorite video game, Mortal Kombat, giving them an indirect idea to develop the video game.

He then meets a martial arts teacher, who takes him to another dimension, the Second World. Nintendo has portrayed Shaq as a warrior on a journey to rescue Nezu, a boy stuck in the lands of the evil mummy, Sett Ra.

Nintendo released the game in 1994 for their Super Nintendo Entertainment System. While the game received mixed responses at the start, it saw its downfall in the coming time. However, to keep up the hype, Shaq released a music album that ranked #67 on Billboard’s top 200 lists.

With the title Shaq Fu: Da Return, O’Neal dropped it under the rap genre and also released a dedicated track for the pre-ordering customers.
