The Pokemon World Championship concluded on August 13. Trainers from around the globe gathered at the event in the hopes of being recognized as the most skilled Pokemon trainer for this year. While fans had a blast at the action-packed event, it was another event which completely mesmerized the fans.

Fans got to see their favorite Pokemon, like Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, and Pikachu. But where does one see Pokemon in the real world? And how!

The Pokemon World Championships 2023, which took place in Japan, was the biggest event of the year for Pokemon and Nintendo. Apart from the tournament itself, tons of activities and programs were planned over the three days to keep the Pokemon fans entertained. Among the many venues for the Pokemon World Championships, Yokohama Rinkai Park was a star attraction for the fans. Here, a spectacular drone show awaited for fans to enrich their experience of the event.

The Nintendo-Universal Mario drone was a thing to remember. But the show at the Pokemon World Championship was something truly mesmerizing. 800 drones lit up the skies of Japan.

A drone show putting up multiple Pokemon across the sky is enough to enchant fans. However, synchronized drone movements also produced some basic animation to liven up the Pokemon.

Pokemon World Championships had a lot to offer

The Japanese animated franchise is one of the biggest, most successful, and most loved franchises made. Moreover, there is no shortage of Pokemon-related products. Be it cartoons, video games, movies, or merchandise, Pokemon is everywhere. So it’s no surprise that there is a Pokemon World Championship, and that it’s such a huge event.

Fans flocked to the World Championship which took place from August 11th-13th. The four events organized were Pokemon TCG (Trading Card Game), Pokemon VGC (Video Game Championship), Pokemon Go and Pokemon Unite. The champions of the four events took home prize money as high as $100,000 USD! Prior to the event, a ton of information was revealed to get the fans excited about the event, like a new animated TV series, trailer of Detective Pikachu Returns. And following the event, The Pokemon Company has revealed that the 2024 Pokemon World Championship will take place in Hawaii.
