Almost every game in the franchise has had a series of Easter Eggs. In the Nuketown map in Call of Duty: Black Ops, a secret song played on completing a certain task. On the other hand, in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, the teddy bear in the map Mission said “Porter wuz here”. This was a nod in the direction of Jon Porter, the person who developed the artwork for the Modern Warfare series. Warzone players newly discovered one such Easter Egg that hints at the possibility of Zombies incoming.

Where in Warzone are these Easter Eggs?

Recently, Raven Software added a new machine to the Verdansk Hospital in the Warzone Rumble playlist. It has an uncanny resemblance to the trial machines available in Black Ops Cold War’s Zombie mode. When a player approaches such an instrument, the game displays “Activate Zombies” pop up on the screen. What could it be if not a possible Easter Egg hinting towards Cold War and Warzone’s crossover?

The machine does nothing, but if one looks closely, they can see a sequence of codes running through the screen. No one has deciphered the codes, in fact, they can just be a couple of random numbers running in a loop with no meaning. Towards the end of 2020, developers hinted to a probable collaboration between Warzone and Cold War. Players experienced an in-game static screen randomly during matches. Couple of days back, a Warzone player experienced the same screen static in the beginning of the match. Fans suspect that it’s a hint towards an upcoming major event in the game.

Activision is yet to confirm if the speculations are true. The Zombie Royale mode that allowed dead players to return to the game as zombies is still a fan favorite. The upcoming event may be the biggest yet in the brief history of Warzone. Until then, keep looking for more Easter Eggs in the game!
