Since the 1880s, billboards have been a huge part of advertising products. Hanging huge billboards across the country is a great marketing strategy to advertise products to a larger audience. With time, the technology advancements have given an extra edge to the strategies these days. And that is what Resident Evil did.
Resident Evil, Netflix’s latest series, was released on 14 July. And its advertisement was seen on an amazing billboard in Time Square, New York.

Resident Evil in the city!
Recently, a 3D advertisement of the show was featured on the Time Square 3D billboard. In this advertisement, a Licker, an infamous monster from the franchise, can be seen breaking a glass wall and jumping out of the screen before running off the edge.

This advertisement was captured by a fan and then uploaded on YouTube. Later it was taken to Twitter by Joe Pompliano, a sports and business insider. After which, comments from fans started pouring in as many were awestruck by the surreal VFX, while some said was extremely breathtaking.

It’s a ‘live’!

Resident Evil is a well-known horror gaming franchise, with vast lore. Fans of the franchise consider it one of the most thrilling experiences in gaming history, especially with its latest installments. Now, since Netflix has expanded this lore with more thrilling elements, fans have extremely high hopes for the spin-off.
Although the game counterpart has many good installments, it can’t be said for the live-action adaptations. Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City is an example of this. Even with actors like Tom Hopper, who is famous for playing the role of ‘Luther’ in The ‘Umbrella Academy’, the film wasn’t able to do wonders.

Although Netflix’s approach toward live-action was a bit risky, fans well received the trailer. Unfortunately though, after the release, critics were not so sure about it. It is up to fans now to decide whether they want another live-action series of their beloved game, or not.
