But when Floyd Mayweather was still inside the ring, he was renowned for his strong form and powerful punches. However, the same boxing legend showcased an unusual and funny form while playing a VR-video game a year after quitting the ring.

Floyd Mayweather’s funny form at the launch of his VR Game
In 2018, Mayweather revealed his VR game, Mayweather Boxing + Fitness, at the CES show in Las Vegas. The champ even put on the VR controllers instead of his usual boxing gloves to showcase his new VR game’s gameplay. However, his boxing form for the game wasn’t what fans usually saw him do.

Soon after wearing the VR headset and holding the VR controllers, he was ready for his VR game. Everyone was looking forward to seeing him box in the virtual world. But he showcased a weird and funny stance, confusing many. It even felt like the champ was dancing.
Later, the presenter revealed the game hadn’t started, and Mayweather was trying to adapt to the VR. The champ came into his original form a few minutes after the funny boxing stance. Everyone at the show could see him performing strong punches and uppercuts while holding those controllers.
Why did the boxing legend develop this VR video game?

After retirement, Mayweather started his Mayweather Boxing + Fitness. It is a fitness program he developed under which he has various gyms across the US. However, he later wanted to share his boxing experience with others. And VR technology was the answer.
He said, “Because everybody cannot be into the real thing. It wasn’t easy for me, you know, a 21-year career doing the real thing. Because we all know doing the real thing has to wear and tear on the body. With this, you can feel like you’re doing the real thing, but you’re not actually doing the real thing.”
