There was a time in the UFC when Conor McGregor was yet to taste defeat inside the octagon. The brash Irish superstar stitched together an impressive streak of victories in the featherweight division. This made him the next marquee name to face Jose Aldo, who was the featherweight champion of that era.

Before that fight could take place at the end of the year, UFC president Dana White and McGregor played a casual match in UFC 2. This is the first time either of the men set foot inside the virtual octagon, as Conor choose to pick himself as his fighter, White went with Aldo. What happened next in the match truly gave everyone a sneak peek into the future.

The fight progressed at a rather quicker pace than either of the fighters like to keep. McGregor tried to land some crazy spinning kicks and roundhouse kicks and found success with them. White tried to defend himself and only managed to land a couple of punches, which wobbled the Irish fighter.

However, everything fell flat on his face when McGregor dialed up his gameplay and showcased his high fight IQ. He started blocking kicks, landed neat counter punches, which dropped White a couple of times. It was followed up by vicious elbows, ground, and pound that ultimately secured him a TKO win. This incident foreshadowed the future, and what was truly going to happen when the two featherweight titans collide.

Ardent UFC fans would know that McGregor went to replicate the same result in real life at the end of 2015. When the duo clashed in real life at UFC 194, he managed to knock the dominant featherweight champion in the opening 13 seconds of the very first round; it is still one of the quickest finishes ever recorded in a title fight.
