Players of Destiny 2 are gathering in masses to pay their tribute to the great Hollywood legend, Lance Reddick. After the news spread, players are saluting and showing respect to Commander Zavala, who was voiced by the late actor. The Tower is filling up with Destiny fans from all over the world, as everyone wants to listen to the late commander’s voice. 

Social media is flooded with tribute posts for the late legend. From Twitter to YouTube Reddick fans as well as Destiny-2 players are sharing high-effort content, showing last respects to the actor. ‘The Wire’ and ‘John Wick’ star was 60 years old when he passed away. According to the sources, he died of natural causes. 

Destiny fans pour out their hearts in Destiny 2 to honor Lance Reddick

Destiny fans all over the internet shared their tributes. Yesterday guardians spent all day saluting in a circle using the “Humanity’s Sheild” emote to show how larger than life was the presence of Lance Reddick aka Commander Zavala. The candlelight vigils lit bright as they paid their last farewells to Riddick. 

Stephanie Reddick, Lance’s wife, posted a tweet from his account saying, “The thousands of Destiny players who played in special tribute to Lance, Thank you. Lance loved you as much as he loved the game.” Her response gave fans a wave of emotions that increased their longing while helping them cope. 

The developers of Destiny 2, Bungie, also shared a tweet on their Twitter saying “Lance Reddick was an iconic presence on screen, in Destiny, and most importantly, in person. His love for our community shined through in Commander Zavala, in his uncompromising dedication to his craft, and out of the radiating kindness that touched those around him.”

On YouTube, fans compiled the iconic dialogues of the commander and created compilations of his bravery as tributes. “Reddick was a huge part of not just Destiny, but our everyday lives. We hear his voice, we follow his lead under the Vanguard and forge close bonds with characters like Zavala. He will be missed greatly. Long live the Commander. Rest In Peace.” said the description of one of the YouTube videos. 

Reddick was known for his calm demeanor and heavy yet silky voice that often presented him with acting opportunities that required intensity and gravitas. One of his most iconic roles was Charon, in Lionsgate’s “John Wick” movies. He even appears in the fourth installment of the series, which is scheduled to release later this month.
