Technology has become highly advanced these days and it’s still taking huge leaps before turning into a mammoth catalyst, driving everyone’s lives. And whenever there’s a mention of technology, Elon Musk is the name that usually comes to anyone’s mind, in today’s era.

With his ambitious initiatives in different fields, Elon Musk is trying to revolutionize the way people live. One of his most prioritized projects right now is the Neuralink. With this neurotechnology, he wants to enhance the lives of humans in the coming future. In fact, Neuralink did show a demonstration as well of its capabilities, last year, when it made a Monkey play video game.

Neuralink was first introduced in 2016. Apart from Elon Musk, its other co-founders were Max Hodak, Ben Rapoport, Dongjin Seo, Paul Merolla, Philip Sabes, Tim Gardner, Tim Hanson, and Vanessa Tolosa.

Last year, Neuralink showed how its brain-machine interfaces (BMIs) will work inside the brain of a subject. For demonstration, the scientists working on it implanted a chip inside a Monkey. Through this, they wanted to depict the potential of the futuristic technology.

The nine-year-old monkey, named Pager, shocked everyone by doing some unbelievable things with the help of the chip.

Initially, Pager interacted with a given software with his hands. However, as the clip progressed further, he was seen playing a game without any hand movements. The monkey was enjoying his time with Pong by successfully making his way through the video game levels.

Pong is themed on table-tennis like structure. It features two-dimensional graphics and was manufactured and originally launched by Atari in 1972, with Allan Alcorn as the creator.

The game was so popular upon its debut that other competing companies tried to mimic it by coming up with similar releases. Pong also saw its successive entries with a home version making its arrival in 1975 during Christmas.

Coming back to the monkey Pager, then seeing him trying his brain on this game, in a fascinating manner, was surely an astonishing event for the viewers. He was moving the ball in the software, up and down, by simply thinking about moving it! Moreover, when faced with increased difficulty, he was still able to ace the mindpong!

With this demonstration, Elon Musk must have surely succeeded as well in convincing curious minds of Neuralink’s potential.
