The former King of YouTube, PewDiePie, once expressed that he will never have a kid in his life. But things take unexpected turns and that is what happened with Felix, as the Swedish YouTuber recently made the official announcement of expecting a child with his wife Marzia. According to the reveal, the couple got the news in November but were keeping it a secret from the fans. 

A few years ago, Felix’s attitude was very clear about his family plans. With a dismissive attitude toward the topic, Felix had sent signals of not being much keen on having kids and settling down. But the recent events have proved that all the jokes and sarcastic remarks were nothing but his signature charm of being ironic. 

Why did PewDiePie think his child would be a disappointment? 

Felix Kjellberg aka PewDiePie had a very simple condition. In the future, if his child doesn’t help him in building Anime mech figurines, he would be very disappointed. Felix is a big fan of Manga and Anime. In his earlier video, he could be seen referencing a lot of Japanese works and talking passionately about them. 

He even used to make Gundam figurines live on his streams. Gundam is one of the most well-known and significant mech (giant robots) series in Japan. And in the streams, his love for the medium was very apparent. For hours, Pewds would be live on stream tinkering and building new Gundam.

After the announcement went live, an avid fan of PewDiePie shared a clip on Twitter. In the Tweet, Pewds could be seen reacting to his Reddit page. There one fan had posted a picture editing his and Marzia’s faces to make predict what his child could look like in the future. 

“Is that how our child would look like? We are never having kids!” said PewDiePie. “Imagine if we ever have a child and they grow up and they watch this video and they look exactly like that.” PewDiePie continued to leave messages for his future child saying, “hey! sh*t head! You are f*king ugly dude! And also disappointment! Hey if you don’t build Gundams with me when I am old. F*ck you.”

How did the fans react to the clip?

The fans went on a nostalgic trip, thinking about how far Felix has come. Many long-time fans expressed how proud and happy they are all across the internet. Looking at this clip, fans weren’t very surprised, as all of them are pretty used to Felix’s antics.
