“We Are Still Feeling Very Bullish About Nintendo Switch” – Nintendo America President Shares Concerning News on the Rumored Switch 2

The Nintendo Switch 2, as many call it Switch Pro, is the most desired piece of video game equipment in the industry. Even though the console does not yet exist, it is equipment that every Nintendo fans require right now. After all, in 2023, the hybrid console, Switch, will be in its eighth year.

There have been many reports from Nintendo fans that the latest Switch games don’t run as smoothly. And, there have been latest rumors which are also hinting at the Japanese giants working on a successor to Switch. But the Nintendo of America President Doug Bowser shared some concerning news that they “still feeling very bullish about Nintendo Switch.”

Bowser in a recent interview was asked about many things related to Nintendo and its future. So when the Japanese giant’s future is in question, it is impossible he wasn’t asked about Nintendo Switch 2. After all, there have been a lot of rumors lately about a Switch 2, which is even capable of competing against the Xbox Series S.

Doug Bowser on releasing a Nintendo Switch 2

The Nintendo of America President stated to Daily Mail that the Switch will turn seven years old in March 2023, but still, it has a strong presence in the console market. Additionally, the Japanese giants have a strong lineup of games for Switch like their crowned jewel, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

He then shared what Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa recently claimed, “We´re entering uncharted territory with the platform. It´s exciting to see that demand is still there. So nothing to announce on any future console or device, but we are still feeling very bullish about Nintendo Switch.”

But then Bowser shared that why his company feels so confident in Switch despite it being seven years old is their unique technology. After all, Nintendo Switch was the pioneer of ‘Hybrid Technology’ that allowed players to experience a handheld and home console with a single device.

But he concluded the questions about a Switch successor with, “One of the things we look at always is how can we surprise and delight. How can we introduce new unique ways of playing? That’s always in front of our mind.”
