Amidst their back-and-forth debates, Rain mentioned a particular tweet that was stated by the official FaZe Clan page. But his controversial take might even spark a new set of fights in the online space, instead of quashing the old ones.

xQc comments on FaZe’s “We want more women in FaZe Clan” tweet

xQc is a very popular streamer in today’s era and can proudly boast of a vast fan base. He has even shown a keen interest in owning an Esports team recently. Thus, he was filled with outrage and confusion after he stumbled upon the FaZe Clan tweet. This prompted him to share his own opinions and understanding of women’s representation in Esports.

“Why do people have to go out of their way and pick girls on the basis that they are girls that aren’t even interested,” stated xQc. According to him, it is a confusing action to sign women into the Esports if they are not interested or skilled in it.

The streamer stated that these statements may even get him canceled but did not stop his flow of thoughts there. Felix considers the ‘we need more girls’ statement absurd. He commented that girls have already been in the space for a long time, so a tweet like this was unnecessary.

“We need skilled players that deserve a spot and if that person is a girl, then f**k it absolutely we do right,” added xQc. He feels that a merit-based system should be followed when selecting players for professional teams, so that talented players are given the ‘deserved chance’ rather than giving quotas for people who are not interested.

This was quite a bold statement from the popular streamer. These comments even sparked debates among netizens, some of who were targeting him for what he said. Though he said these statements, he did not specify them directly to any of the current Esports figures. Finally, he ended his rant by saying, “We need more girls on the basis that they are girls is stupid”.

What are your opinions on these issues that were raised by xQc? Do you agree with him or not? Mention them in the comments below.
