And this hype was raised by a fellow Sidemen member when he revealed the role of one of their most popular team members in the upcoming match.

KSI to Play as a Goalkeeper in the Sidemen Charity Match in 2023

In a recent podcast of What’s Good, famous Sidemen member Simon “Miniminter” revealed the position of famous British rapper, boxer, and YouTuber, JJ Olatunji, aka KSI, in the highly anticipated charity match. In this podcast, Miniminter was joined by another British YouTuber, Andrew “Randolph.”

Both Miniminter and Randloph confirmed that KSI will be the last frontier in Sidemen FC’s half. Yes, you read it right! KSI will be playing as a goalkeeper in this year’s Sidemen Charity Match 2023.

In that podcast, Randolph stated, “JJ’s a keeper. People know that right now. I saw somebody announce that Side+ had actually announced it in the comments. Everyone thought JJ wasn’t playing, but they do know he’s a goalie.”

In this regard, Miniminter confirmed, “Well, he is now!”

So far, KSI has participated in all the previous charity matches hosted by Sidemen. In those matches, he played primarily as a central defensive midfielder. However, this time JJ will be seen in an absolutely new position as the counterpart of the $100 million kick streamer, xQc, who will be guarding the post on the opposite side of the field.

The Goalkeeper Himself Confirms

KSI also confirmed that he is going to be the goalkeeper in this year’s charity match. In a recent stream, famous Twitch streamer Kai Cenat, who is himself unsure about his position in the match, connected to KSI through a call.

In that call, Kai asked KSI how many goals he would be going to score on Saturday. In that reply, KSI said, “Probably zero. Hearing this, Kai exclaimed, “Oh! You are a goalie,” and KSI confirmed: “Yeah, bro.”

Lastly, the streamer of the year asked the Sidmen co-founder how much he was going to block. KSI responded in a confident manner: “I know Speed’s going to try to score against me, so I’m going to concede zero.”

This decision by KSI seems to be a precautionary measure for his upcoming bout against Tommy Fury, set to be hosted in October 2023. Or it may be another trick to save himself from Speed’s fearsome tackles. Who knows!

The Sidemen Charity Match 2023 will be hosted on Saturday, September 9, at London Stadium.
