The latest buzz around Fortnite Chapter 4 for Season 5 has been inviting a lot of interesting fan theories. Most of these speculations have been fueled by a viral leak that suggests Fortnite is taking back the fans to the early days of the chapter. While the leak itself was intriguing enough, its possible connection with the MCU has taken the fan excitement to a whole new level.

A few days back, the gaming world was pleasantly surprised when a Trending scoop suggested Fortnite Chapter 4 would be bringing back the OG maps from Chapter 1. The community hadn’t moved on from the possible homecoming when another interesting theory made it to the social media trends. According to this latest claim, the comeback of OG Chapter 1 maps was teased way back in Avengers Endgame!

The possible Fortnite tease that now makes Thor’s gaming scene more than just an easter egg!

It’s been over 4 years since the world witnessed the end of Thanos. While Endgame marked the end of the MCU’s phase 4, it may have just unveiled the next big chapter of Fortnite. According to the leak, the much-awaited Chapter 4 for the fifth season will bring back the maps of Chapter 1. And apparently, Thor knew it way before we did.

The scene that supposedly paved the way for this theory is when Rocket and Hulk visit Thor in New Asgard to request he come aboard on the time travel mission. Thor, who was clearly distraught after the events of Infinity War was not in his ideal god avatar. Rather, he had put on weight from food and alcohol, barely resembling the Thor from any of the previous movies. He was seen enjoying an intense gaming session of Fortnite. Further, this scene included a comical moment with some heated confrontations where Thor confronted his rival, ‘Noobmaster69’.

The fact that Avengers Endgame takes place in October 2023 adds more credibility to the theory.

Further, artifacts from Chapter 1 Season 5 that have lately appeared on the current Fortnite island in Frenzy Fields lend credence to this theory as well. These include the banners Kado Thorne’s time machine brought to the island for the Dusty Diner, Truck ‘N’ Oasis, and Durr Burger. The leaks were discovered in the most recent patch, version 26.30, which also added Fortnitemares 2023 and a Time Machine to the island, and this strengthened the rumor.

Following the supposed leaks, fans are convinced that this is happening.

Fans are already celebrating!

The hypothesis was enough to garner the battle royale behemoth’s fans’ spotlight. The interesting deduction invited some spicy reactions from the gaming community.

A user is already threatened to battle against the pro who trash talked Korg before being confronted by Thor. Time to put a face to Noobmaster69?

Another fan cannot believe the theory as it might be just ‘too smart and good to be true’. Was it really right in front of the fans’ faces this entire time?

A Marvel fan adds some more perspective on how this might have been planned. Fortnite has featured plenty of DC skins like Batman, Harley Quinn, Green Arrow, The Flash, Catwoman and more. So this fan thinks they could switch it up with some marvel content.

This fan thinks it’s too much of a coincidence.
