For the last few years, the Call of Duty franchise has been struggling to maintain its popularity among hardcore FPS gamers. In fact, the craze for this IP has gradually come going down after recent releases like Vanguard, Modern Warfare II, and its free-to-play extension in Warzone battle royale. In short, there’s a dire need for the makers to do something essential to give the series a revival.

Now, speaking of this year’s rumored Modern Warfare III, fans have speculated for it to be good, if not perfect. Some of the insiders previously said that the game will go to back the traditional roots of the classic CoD entries. There’s no doubt about the fact that Treyarch has been consistent in delivering some of the best CoD games. But when it comes to the pinnacle of its sub-series, Black Ops 2 is a masterpiece, in almost every department. From map designs and movement mechanics to the Zombies-based modes, it was basically a perfect FPS. Despite being more than 10 years old, it’s still considered the top-tier installment in the entire history of the action saga.

Considering this notion, a streamer recently shared an idea for how Activision can actually turn the upcoming Call of Duty 2023 into a fan-favorite video game. The content creator, known as Lucky Chappy on Twitter, shared a clip in which he suggested a few tips regarding this year’s awaited entry.

Was Modern Warfare II’s Fifth Raid Removed for a Call of Duty 2023 Event in Warzone?

“Just imagine Black Ops 2 as the main Multiplayer game for Call of Duty in 2023 this year. And alongside that, we have Blackout too, which is integrated with Black Ops 2. Oh my god, man. That would get, us, Apex Legends players back on Call of Duty. It would get the COD players back on COD”, he said.

Moreover, he even said that doing so will attract even those who are thinking to shift to XDefiant – the potential CoD killer. “F**k man, I should run Activision,” he said toward the end of the video. In case anyone is not aware of Blackout, it was a battle royale mode introduced for 2018’s Black Ops 4. Interestingly, it was also the first attempt from devs to reveal such an experience in the series.
