What to Expect From Upcoming PlayStation Showcase and When and Where to Watch It

After the black swan event from last year, things are looking up for gamers and video games in general. This year, we got a ton of new games for both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S. And Sony is in no mood to stop and is going to conduct a PlayStation Showcase 2021 event.

This event will be comparable to the State of Play, where the company showcases its new and upcoming titles for PlayStation 5 as well as the PlayStation 4. So players can expect to see some new titles and extended gameplay.

PlayStation Showcase 2021: Timings and other details

In a recent blog post, Sony shared some crucial details about the upcoming PlayStation Showcase event. As per Sony, the showcase is going to transpire on September 9, 2021, which is next Thursday. The event will commence at 1:00pm Pacific Time / 9:00pm BST / 10:00pm CEST / 1:30 am Friday, Indian Standard Time. To watch the live event, players can tune in to YouTube and Twitch

Apart from this, Sid Shuman, Senior Director, SIE Content Communications, also shared some details about the PlayStation Showcase event. He said, “The Showcase will weigh in at around 40 minutes and include updates from PlayStation Studios and some of the industry’s most imaginative developers, for games releasing this holiday and beyond. And stick around after the presentation to get more updates from some of the studio teams featured in the Showcase.”

While we still don’t have any idea about what games will be announced, chances are the sequel to 2018 God of War can make its debut. Players might also witness the final trailer of Deathloop, the upcoming action-adventure game. Sony might also tease an entirely new title which certainly will grab some eyeballs. 

If you are a PlayStation VR, then we have some disappointing news for you. As per Sid Shuman, “PlayStation’s next generation of VR won’t make an appearance this time.”
