Finally, the long wait for the first glimpse of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is over. The American video game company, Activision, released the worldwide trailer reveal for their upcoming Call of Duty title.

It’s no surprise that the video game developer, Infinity Ward, has been working on a sequel to the 2019 game, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Further, the upcoming COD title is speculated to be the biggest game from Activision.

What would be Modern Warfare II about?

The trailer begins with a man hanging from a helicopter with a rope tied to his waist. Soon the man starts shooting at a vehicle on the road nearby. Then the game shifts to reveal a target named Hasan in Iran. So, it’s clear that this game might have a mission set in Iran.

Then the trailer reveals the characters in the game, which sent goosebumps to every COD fan. This Modern Warfare calls upon the aid of the Task Force 141 again which has the good old Captain John Price along with Captain John “Soap” MacTavish, SAS Sergeant Kyle “Gaz” Garrick, CIA Station Chief Kate Laswell, and Lieutenant Simon “Ghost” Riley. Further, this new COD game also got a new character into the team, Colonel Alejandro Vargas.

This elite squad would travel to various locations to carry out different missions. For the trailer, it seems there would be a mission that will take the players on a cargo ship. Also, there would be some aerial combats and the classic night vision fights.

Undoubtedly, the game’s story is a direct sequel to the 2019 game, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. So some of the plots will have connections to the plot from the 2019 game.

Further, the game will present a lot of chaos for the COD fans. Moreover, there would be many weapons in-game to suit players playing styles. But the most important weapon is the team. So, it might be a hint towards the multiplayer mode. It is possible that MW II will have a co-op mode for players to team up with others to complete some missions.

When and where will Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II release?

The upcoming Call of Duty game will be cross-platform so it will be available on consoles like Playstation and Xbox. Further, it would be available on PC and can be bought from Battle.net and also from Steam.

As for the fans to play the game, they would have to wait a little longer. The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is set to release on October 28, 2022. But on pre-ordering the game, players can enjoy the early access beta to the game.
