There have been many games that had Michael Jackson references. In Devil May Cry 4, Dante danced like MJ after acquiring the weapon Faust Hat. Even G’s animation from Street Fighter V has influences from the “King of Pop.” However, video games are not limited to just references.

Jackson was part of many games like Space Channel 5 and Space Channel 5: Part 2, as the Space Michael. Then he even produced music for the 1994 game, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, but left midway. Recently, Sega revealed that his music was there in the game. He also appeared in games like Michael Jackson: The Experience and Planet Michael.

He appeared as himself in the Beat ’em up video game Michael Jackson’s Moonwalker. Furthermore, the Japanese game company Sega developed this game, the first ever collaboration between the two parties.

The 1990 video game was based on Michael Jackson’s movie Moonwalker, which came out in 1988. The video game revolved around Michael Jackson saving kidnapped children from the villain Mr. Big. The “King of Pop” attacks the enemies with magical prowess instead of physical attacks. He can also shoot magic out of his hand.

Furthermore, the game features not only the pop star but also his music. The game has the 8-Bit version of his songs from Moonwalker and his famous album Thriller. The game became a massive hit among the fans, especially the game’s arcade version. Undoubtedly, it was a treat for all Jackson fans.
