Call of Duty series’ 20th anniversary date will make for a perfect release for Modern Warfare III
In case anyone has missed keeping track of the past, the long-running series was originally introduced to the world in 2003. That was the year when Activision had released the first-ever COD title on October 29th. Since then, the company has followed the tradition of dropping a brand new game annually.
Now coming back to the rumored Call of Duty premium in 2023, it’s expected to be helmed by Sledgehammer Games. The studio was previously involved in the making of Vanguard. When it comes to the launch window, several trusted insiders have claimed that the game might arrive on November 10th.

However, given the fact that October will mark the 20th anniversary of Call of Duty, Activision might prepare something special for the fans. And what could be better than giving them a gift on the exact day the first installment in the series was revealed two decades ago?
October 29 will make a lot of sense for the publisher to drop the next crucial title. But this is just a theory as of now. Nothing can be confirmed just yet unless an official update is revealed. It will be interesting to see when the first-ever teaser will be dropped for the rumored title. Current speculations indicate that it might be unveiled in the first week of August.
