Who Is Rebel Moon Game’s Protagonist in Zack Snyder’s Ambitious RPG Based on the Netflix Movie?

Army of the Dead, Man of Steel, 300, and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice are some names that first come to mind when you think of Zack Snyder. And the director is now back for his next movie. Snyder showed up at Gamescom 2023 to talk about his next movie, for which he will be teaming up with Netflix.

There’s been a lot of news shared already about this movie. However, what makes this special, in being more than just another Snyder film, is the fact that it will also pave the way for a standalone Rebel Moon video game.

What do we know about Rebel Moon?

Snyder has offered some fresh details regarding his upcoming film. During the Opening Night Live of Gamescom 2023 event, the director talked to host Geoff Keighley about the upcoming Netflix movie. He revealed that the IP is going to expand beyond just two films.

In other words, one can look at Rebel Moon as an original, sci-fi multi-media franchise, similar to Star Wars. The latter has stretched beyond movies, while witnessing huge success through amazing video games based on the stories featuring iconic characters. The same can be said regarding Snyder’s ambitious RPG as well. Currently, it’s in the early stages of development.

Justice League and Rebel Moon Director Interested in a Gears of War Movie!

At Gamescom 2023, the filmmaker revealed that a studio named Super Evil Megacorp is developing the game. Its story will take place right after the events of two movies – scheduled to come out in 2023 and 2024, respectively. While the first part is named Child of Fire, its sequel will be called The Scargiver.

Who will be the main character of Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon video game?

Taking the movie’s overall setting into consideration, we can expect its story to feature Kora. The latter is the name of the protagonist who will be played by actress Sofia Boutella in the live-action film. For now, one can assume that this character will also appear in the RPG, in case it’s attached to the essence of Rebel Moon universe in more ways than one.

Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon is coming to Netflix on December 22, 2023. Its second part will make its way on April 19, 2024. As for the video game adaptation, the developing team of Super Evil Megacorp is yet to announce a date.
