If Natty is the one who accompanies the player to Hogsmeade, then she will be the one to come across Victor Rookwood and Halow. Because of this, her chasing down Harlow later in the game makes more sense. Moreover, Sebastian is the one who is more focused on goblins, as he believes they are the reason for his sister’s suffering.

Additionally, going with the Gryffindor student will make more sense with the troll fight. During the first visit to Hogsmeade, a troll attacks the village and our companion helps to fight that monster off. So, Natty as a companion has more offensive spells compared to Sebastian. After defeating the troll, the player and the companion come across Officer Singer, whom Natty reports about Harlow’s evil deeds.
