Two of the most anticipated games of 2022 currently have the same release date. On one side, we have Call of Duty Modern Warfare II, which undoubtedly has a lot of fans waiting for its release. On the other hand, we have a recently announced unexpected Bayonetta 3, that has a lot of Nintendo fans excited. With both titles releasing on October 28, the situation sparked an important question of which title will find more success.
Modern Warfare II and Bayonetta 3 belong to two separate genres, with the former being a first-person shooter game and the latter being an action-adventure experience. As a result, they have separate player bases. In addition, both these experiences are targeted at different platforms. While Modern Warfare II will release on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation consoles, Bayonetta 3 will be a Nintendo Switch exclusive.

Activision is reportedly making the best version of a Call of Duty game with Modern Warfare II. Like Bayonetta 3, it is also a sequel to a previously popular title. Modern Warfare II will include an exciting single-player campaign, alongside iconic multiplayer modes from the series. Like Modern Warfare II, Bayonetta 3 is also going to host new content, including a new story, new playable characters, and new abilities.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare II vs Bayonetta 3: Which will find more success?
Modern Warfare II will release for its vast fan base on PC, alongside PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series consoles. Combining the user base of all 5 hugely successful platforms, it’s obvious that the much-anticipated Call of Duty title will have a lot of suitors. In addition, the franchise has been topping the best-seller charts for the longest time.

On the other hand, Bayonetta 3 is exclusive to just one platform, the user base of which is 107+ million strong. It’s quite obvious that Call of Duty Modern Warfare II is more capable of shadowing Bayonetta 3 in terms of sales.
With that being said, the difference could appear in terms of quality. Call of Duty fans are expecting a lot from Modern Warfare II. In fact, Activision has promised a lot in terms of graphical advancements and content. Moreover, fans receive a CoD game every year, which is quite different in the case of Bayonetta.

Bayonetta 2 was released back in 2014. As a result, Bayonetta 3 is likely to have a more stable number of fans. Most of them are waiting to grab a new experience after 8 years at the first chance.
Concluding the prediction, it’s extremely likely that Call of Duty Modern Warfare II will find more success in sales than Bayonetta 3, owing to its massive platform support. In terms of quality, either could win. Then again, the genres are pretty different from each other, catering to entirely different audiences.
