According to the experts, the Wolverine game will keep parity with the character and have a mature tone. While Spider-Man is essentially a teenager finding his way through the workings of the world, Wolverine is already disillusioned by the universe. Hence, a darker tonality is something that was probably warranted. Wolverine is among the most mature characters in Marvel’s universe and the devs will try their best to capture that worldview in the game as well.

The Wolverine game will be a semi-open-world one, much like the recent God of War titles. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is the first superhero game with a fully open-world setting. Insomniac’s next release will look to push things further and experiment more with this aspect.
