Metroid Prime 4 is the latest game in Nintendo’s long-running series of first-person shooter puzzle games. The last game in this series launched in 2007 for the Nintendo Wii. It launched to critical acclaim, but Nintendo only announced a sequel years later for the Nintendo Switch.

It underwent development at Namco when it was announced, but a couple of years ago, Nintendo decided to scrap it. Then this game was handed over to Retro Studios, the creators of this series, and ever since then, they have been working on it. It would be very interesting to see what this game looks like if it is ever revealed.

Hollow Knight Silksong is an indie title that started development at Team Cherry after its prequel, Hollow Knight, became an overnight success. It’s a side-scrolling platformer with fast-paced combat and gameplay mechanics that would remind gamers of soul-like games.

Ever since its announcement in 2019 though, it looks like Team Cherry has forgotten about it altogether. The developers keep telling fans the game is coming, but there’s no answer to “When”. And now that one more Nintendo Direct is on its way, we cannot blame fans for hoping for some update.

In just a matter of hours, we would know if either of these games is in that direction. Even if they are not, we hope to see them launch sometime in the near future. Nevertheless the indie title may have hit some stumbling roadblocks that gamers wouldn’t know about.

Trouble brewing for Hollow Knight: Silksong?

While everyone has their hopes sky high expecting Silksong to make an appearance during this upcoming showcase. There are chances this game could encounter a prolonged that could reach up until 2024.

This might happen due to a change in Unity’s Policy. This game engine provider has now announced that they will start charging distributors of games made on the Unity engine for every game download. They have received a massive backlash for this step but refuse to budge from their decision.

On the other hand, developers who have developed games on Unity have decided to delay their games till the issue gets resolved. Some have even announced that they would rather move onto Unreal Engine if Unity does not change their decision.

Silksong is also made on the Unity engine and the developer Team Cherry has yet to make an official statement on this matter its clear they would not want to pay this weird fee either.
