Popular YouTuber Zach, from the channel SwitchForce, recently came up with a video in which he talked about the growing trend of companies trying to make remasters of their popular games. While mentioning the news regarding Horizon Zero Dawn, he also talked about Nintendo and why it may also follow Sony’s route.

Nintendo Switch vs Steam Deck: How the Japanese Giant Could Finally Face Real Competition In 2022

He said that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2, is coming up next year and might arrive with a new Switch Pro model. And to increase the hype around the sequel, Nintendo may announce a remaster of the original, with improved graphics, lighting, and some added features for a higher price.

Per Zack, it might end up being priced around $70 or close to it, since Nintendo won’t leave such an opportunity to gain more profit.

This is not something fully certain, albeit, the Japanese giant might opt for such a step going forward. Because somehow they know that many players will still buy a remastered Breath of the Wild despite the fact that the original is only five years old.

According to Zack, this is not a great approach whatsoever. Because ultimately it will indicate that there’s a lack of creativity to develop a new, original IP. Which is actually the case with many publishers these days. It will be intriguing to see if Nintendo will do a Breath of the Wild remaster or not.
