The latest addition to Portkey Games’ catalog, Hogwarts Legacy, has enticed fans with its latest reports and ongoing speculations. Fans all around the world have had several questions regarding key aspects of the RPG title. Thankfully, the developers have provided all the answers to these intriguing queries over the past few months.
Another question which fans of the franchise have wondered about is whether the game will be multiplayer or not.

Multiplayer or single-player? What does Hogwarts Legacy offer to fans?
Inspired by the wizarding world from J. K. Rowling’s magical and extensive universe, Warner Bros. Games aims to publish their first-ever console and PC game under the Portkey Games banner.
As Potterheads might be aware, the game aims to provide its players an inclusive experience, putting them in the shoes of a student at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Interestingly, the action role-playing title is also set in an open-world environment.
However, despite its open-world setting, Hogwarts Legacy will not offer a multiplayer mode. It is a single-player title, as per the game’s official website, and will release as such. In addition to this, there are no talks of a multiplayer mode releasing anytime soon following the launch of the title.
For now, the developers have not hinted at any other modes for the game either. And it seems unlikely they will do so in the near future. Although players hoping to explore Hogwarts and the world beyond with their friends, shouldn’t be disappointed, since developers more often than not deliver what the fans want.
On their Frequently-Asked-Questions page, the developers also revealed that players will be able to choose their house in the upcoming title – Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, or Ravenclaw; it’ll be up to the user’s discretion.
