The battle for supremacy in the streaming world between Twitch and YouTube Gaming has taken a surprising turn. Recently, two major streamers in DrLupo and TimTheTatman jumped ship to the red platform. This caused a major stir in the community and also grabbed Micheal ‘Shroud ‘ Grzesiek’s attention. Even he made a similar move with Mixer back in the day.

However, his deal with Mixer did not last long as Facebook took over the platform. A well-endowed platform like YouTube Gaming definitely won’t face the same situation. The streamer was quizzed about the entry of a massive video-sharing platform in his stream. It seems like it is going to become a serious contender in due time, which does not bode well for Twitch.

Shroud does not believe that Twitch can ever die
The 27-year-old year streamer gave his thoughts about the state of the platform. He clarified major platforms like Twitch, YouTube, can never die because of the serious backing that they enjoy. Although, it can fall from its pole position with the entrance of new players in the ecosystem.

” No, there’s always going to be someone else to take the spot of the views. It’s not like they’ll, yeah when there’s a transition and somebody moves to another platform, some follow, and some stay. I don’t think there’s, I don’t think there’s such a thing as killing a Twitch. It’s just, Twitch is so big.”
“It’s like killing YouTube, like YouTube recording and all the content videos that people like; you can’t kill that. Nothing can come out to kill that and so they can come out to compete it and now, there’s record your videos and upload them to this website instead, but it’s not gonna happen.”
