He tried his hands first on Overwatch and quickly set out to become a pro player in this game. However, during this phase, xQc believed he got into an unhealthy mindset. He focused on nothing but competing and this, along with other controversies, made him quit as a pro player.

But since then his Twitch streams have been booming. He switched over to streaming and was heavily loved by fans. However, now looks like xQc does have a plan charted when it comes to retiring from streaming.

xQc talks about quitting streaming

In his recent stream, xQc was having a question-and-answer session with his chat. He delved into many topics like past struggles and how he coped with them. During this session, a fan asked xQc, “Do you think you’ll just quit streaming when you’re tired of it? Or move your streams in the direction like soda/summit?”

To answer this question, xQc was brutally honest and stated that if he does not enjoy doing something, he would rather not do it. He said, “I’ve been set for life for years”. This quote of his points out he is not streaming currently for monetary benefits. Furthermore, the streamer expressed he is streaming currently because he enjoys it. But being brutally honest about his take, he said, “The minute I don’t want to do it anymore, I won’t do it”.

This way of departure will mimic the retirements done in other contemporary jobs. But he was thankful to his fans for making this choice easy for him. The streamer said, “I understand it this is what I call a luxury, not every streamer can afford that. I’m blessed that I can have that.”
