Sony’s PlayStation 5 is setting an example for other consoles when it comes to exclusives. Games like Final Fantasy XVI, Spider-Man 2, etc. are already in the queue to launch this year. And next year, fans have games like Wolverine to wait for.

Recently Sony held a Final Fantasy XVI State of Play, and fan expectations for Sony’s upcoming showcases have increased tenfold. And no doubt they would make good on it, but fans have some very specific expectations with Sony right now.

Now, to a person who just plays the games when they launch, this may not matter as much, but to most hardcore fans, the absence of any sort of gameplay for Wolverine is jarring. They want to see this game as soon as they can.

Hence, when the news broke that Sony would hold a huge PlayStation 5 showcase, fans started getting hopeful. They have been wondering if the developer and publisher would care to give them a look at this upcoming superhero game this year.

Wondering the same thing regarding Spider-Man 2 is not logical, given the fact that the presence of the wallcrawler is obvious during this showcase as it will release sometime around September. So, it only makes sense for Sony to showcase it soon enough.

Wolverine, on the other hand, might end up being a hit-or-miss thing here; maybe Insomniac would not show it at all or they would show it in the form of just another teaser. Fans all over Twitter have been asking Sonny to show off Wolverine during this showcase. They are obviously hyped for Spider-Man 2, but it’s human nature to be more curious about something we know very little about.
