Only a few days are left for the much-awaited Pokemon Scarlet and Violet to hit the shelves. As a result, the predecessor games like the Pokemon Sword and Shield will no longer get any new updates after their upcoming update in November 2022.

Pokemon is one of the oldest game series; the first two games were released in 1996. The game’s popularity also led to multiple movie and anime adaptations. Soon two more, Scarlet and Violet, will join the Pokemon family. These would be the first ninth-generation Pocket Monster games that would be playable on Nintendo Switch.

The Pokemon Company might be revoking its support for older mainline games. But they also have a lot to offer with their upcoming titles, Scarlet and Violet. The new game would be set in a new region called Paldea. This time, players won’t just have the typical journey to becoming a Pokemon Master but two more new pathways to play the game.

Further, the new game has many new Pocket Monsters and a new power boost called Terastal forms. First time in the series, players would enjoy a true open-world experience in a Pokemon game. So, Pokemon fans should gear up for a new adventure.
