The speculations were ignited after the Naughty Dog co-president updated his Instagram bio. With the most subtle tease, the latter has invited a lot of fan theories about the upcoming project. 

“Writer/ Director Unannounced Game”: The Last of Us creator to come up with another banger! 

Neil Druckmann, the creative head behind the widely loved masterpiece The Last of Us confirmed working on another Naughty Dog special for PlayStation 5. The creator updated his Instagram bio by adding, “Writer/ director unannounced game.”

The developers are planning on an installment similar to the super-hit survival thriller. Although it won’t be a continuation of the franchise, it would trace back to the success formula of the much-loved series. The formula for Naughty Dog has been simple, cinematic narrative-focused gameplay. Undoubtedly, the developers have established a huge fanbase with their format of storytelling.

Unfortunately, the TV show’s shoot has been subjected to an uncertain delay. The writers’ protest in Hollywood doesn’t look like it will end anytime soon, making the next season of the show a longer wait.
