Warner Bros. Games and Monolith Productions announced a brand new game back in December 2021, featuring the very powerful Justice League member, Wonder Woman. This is the first time a female superhero from DC will get her solo game. Susan Eisenberg, a representation of Wonder Woman in real life, has heavily appreciated WB’s decision to represent a female superhero as the main protagonist in a game.

Notable voice-over actress, Susan Eisenberg, was the voice behind the iconic Wonder Woman in many animated films and TV series. She rose to fame owing to her talent being the Wonder Woman, and the same led her to many other notable voice-over roles in other franchises as well. In addition, she has also voiced characters in video games, namely Skyrim, The Force Unleashed, Destiny, and more.

In a recent interview with Comic Book Resources, Susan Eisenberg reiterated the importance of Wonder Woman getting her solo video game. “I need Wonder Woman to be treated as an equal. Because I don’t think, up until this moment, she has been. And that’s a whole other interview that we can have another day!” Eisenberg shared.

She’s an equal part of that trinity, but she doesn’t get treated as such. I know some people that are working on the game, and I’m so glad it’s finally happening.”

It is true that female superheroes have received less validation compared to their male counterparts. In fact, Wonder Woman received her much-needed first solo feature film back in 2017. There are a lot of video games representing iconic characters from the DC universe. However, most of them represent the extremely popular dark vigilante Batman.

Although the much-awaited first solo video game adaption of Wonder Woman’s lore has been announced, it is still yet to receive a release date. The upcoming title will explore the lands of Themyscira, Wonder Woman’s place of origin. According to WB Games, the game will feature an open world and will belong to the action-adventure genre. It will also be a single-player experience.
