Fans hope to see endless modding opportunities in GTA 6 as Cfx.re becomes part of Rockstar Games

In the last decade, Rockstar and Take-Two have shown a very strict approach towards mods in their games based on the RAGE Engine. Titles like GTA and Red Dead Redemption have had some amazing creations from community-based modders. But they were eventually shut down. To be precise, Rockstar has been known as one of those publishers who do not embrace their modding communities. However, it appears the company wants to change this image now, once and for all.

On Twitter/X, Rockstar recently shared a post, mentioning its big partnership with Cfx.re. The latter is a community-based group, known for offering modding tools like FiveM and RedM in GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2.

“Today, we are proud to announce that Cfx.re — the team behind the biggest Rockstar roleplay and creator communities, FiveM and RedM — are now officially a part of Rockstar Games,” read the tweet.

Basically, Rockstar has now decided to embrace the modders. This means one can expect future games from the publisher to include an astonishing amount of content that was only possible through mods in the past. In other words, it can be said that GTA 6 is going to go crazy in terms of containing some of the most epic elements with the help of modders, aided by the developers themselves.

Fans are beyond excited for mods going official in GTA 6 upon release

As soon as Rockstar dropped the news, gaming enthusiasts wasted no time in expressing their happiness. Initially, many of them weren’t able to believe the announcement. That’s due to the publisher’s previous track record in terms of handling mod creators. However, the latest update has delighted the fans in every way possible. “ROCKSTAR ACTUALLY WORKING WITH MODDERS INSTEAD OF TAKING THEM DOWN, IT’S A NEW ERA”, wrote one user.

Meanwhile, other fans wrote that they are eager to see what GTA 6 will feel like with mods going official. Plus, they hope to see how the game’s Roleplay servers will turn out to be.

Speaking of the rest of the gaming lovers, they were just ecstatic to know that Rockstar is not against mods anymore.
