League of Legends was released in 2009 by Riot Games and since then has become a cult classic. Players spend thousands of hours still to get their names on top of the scoreboard. However, this League of Legends fan had to put a stop to a world-record typing run because of his love for the very game.

16-year-old MysticMonkey is a YouTuber who regularly awes fans with his typing skills. The creator shares multiple videos of his skills where we get to see some jaw-dropping speeds. Recently he even managed to break the previous world record for typing fast. Crossing the 300 words-per-minute mark, the teenager has set a new record in fast typing and we are stunned. However, his passion for typing got entangled in an undesired scenario recently and he had to put a stop to an attempt at another record. And to think that League of Legends is the unsuspecting culprit makes the failure all the more hilarious.

We can see on the screen that he is trying at a steady pace of 282 to 283 words per minute with about 30 seconds remaining in the session. The pop-up is indeed distracting and he has to put a stop to his latest attempt. Gamers aren’t always solely engulfed with their passion for games. Many of them traverse other paths to hone their skills further. Among these options, typing is also a skill that gamers have to pick up. Texting in the chat box in between matches is crucial at times, and typing fast becomes a mandatory skill. Games like League of Legends often require players to communicate with team members during matches.
MysticMonkey recently crossed the revered 300 WPM barrier and we strongly believe he will be holding on to his feat for quite some time. Since the average typing speed of an average human is around 30 to 40 WPM with typists being more comfortable around the 60 to 80 WPM mark, we can believe that this teen’s record is in no fear of being smashed soon.
