Worldwide Streaming Giant Netflix Reveals a Massive Catalog of Titles for Their Gaming Service in 2023

As the year wraps up, streaming juggernaut Netflix dropped one of its biggest announcements. With a short trailer, the platform teased the fans that in the upcoming year their Mobile Gaming service will feature some amazing and groundbreaking games. This showcase also featured some of the best games that they had to offer in the year 2022. 

According to this new trailer, some critically acclaimed and fan-favorite games are about to make their way to the Netflix Gaming service. These include Kentucky Route Zero and Twelve Minutes. Both of these games have a distinct art style and deep narrative-heavy plots, akin to the web shows the platform is known for.

Netflix Games add more games, expanding their already vast library 

Netflix recently dropped their Year-End Recap of the game in their service. This showcase featured some beloved games of this year such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, Cats & Soup, Spiritfarer, Reigns: Three kingdoms, and many more.

But almost at the end of the video, Netflix teased some new additions to the platform that was about to come in the next year. These new additions were Kentucky Route Zero & Twelve Minutes. Both of the games are highly anticipated by fans as both games are critically acclaimed, distinct story-driven titles that promise unique gameplay and heavy narratives. 

 

Kentucky Route Zero route zero is a point-and-click adventure game developed by Cardboard Computer and published by the people behind “Game of the Year” nominated title ‘Stray’, Annapurna Interactive. According to the steam page, “KENTUCKY ROUTE ZERO is a magical realist adventure game about a secret highway running through the caves beneath Kentucky, and the mysterious folks who travel it.

On the other hand, Twelve Minutes is a mystery-solving adventure game developed by Luís António and also published by Annapurna Interactive. The steam page of the game says, “TWELVE MINUTES is a real-time top-down interactive thriller with an accessible click and drag interface. Featuring James McAvoy, Daisy Ridley, and Willem Dafoe. What should be a romantic evening with your wife turns into a nightmare when a police detective breaks into your home, accuses your wife of murder and beats you to death…

Both of the games are very much akin to the drama and thriller shows on the Platform. This potentially gives a hint that Netflix is planning to bring the same experience from their shows to users through their games.
