Although this isn’t the first collaboration of Microsoft with the F1 team. The history of their partnership with the Xbox parent company can be traced back to 2012. Back then, the company was associated with the name of the Lotus F1 team. It was later, after Renault decided to take over the team and rebrand from scratch. But the team’s long-running relationship with Microsoft only went stronger, which after this new announcement is stronger than ever. Thus, the cars already feature a Microsoft logo on the body and Xbox’s addition just completed the picture for gamers.
