Microsoft now has enough studios in their arsenal to keep fans entertained throughout their gaming journey. With the recent rise in the number of studios that Xbox has under them, many fans wonder if it is enough to release a new exclusive game every month.

Over the years PlayStation has also acquired studios to increase their roster. However, the console giant leads when it comes to acquisitions. With the Microsoft Activision Blizzard King acquisition, this is now more true than ever.

While the count of the number of games in accordance with time might be wrong, the user has speculated that Xbox has the capacity to release 1 Xbox exclusive game every month. Xbox now has 42 studios and subsidiaries which gives the fans a feeling that it is possible to release a game every month. This is considering each studio works on one game with 3 years of development time.

What are Xbox’s plans for Call of Duty?

Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard, valued at $69 billion, ranks as one of the largest deals in gaming history. Microsoft now possesses ownership of Call of Duty, including all its development studios like Treyarch, Infinity Ward, and Sledgehammer. Further, along with control over the Call of Duty game engine and associated support studios.

Future Call of Duty games will retain their multi-platform status, launching simultaneously on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. There will be no exclusive content or advantages for any platform, giving players a fair gaming experience.

Microsoft intends to extend Call of Duty to Nintendo platforms, with the rumored Nintendo Switch 2 as the starting point. This marks the return of Call of Duty to Nintendo consoles. This has not been witnessed since Call of Duty: Ghosts on the Wii U over a decade ago. Microsoft also plans to bring Call of Duty to cloud gaming services, facilitating mobile gaming with minimal lag.
