Sony is sitting on the gaming industry’s throne after offering a plethora of amazing games on PlayStation. But it seems Microsoft has something planned and wants to take over the Japanese multinational company with its future projects. Further, Xbox CEO Phil Spencer’s update from the recent Japan visit hints toward a bright future.

Microsoft established Xbox in 2001 to enter the gaming industry and compete against Sony. The American multinational company always came up with excellent consoles. However, Xbox’s biggest problem was not having a good library compared to the Japanese giants.

Xbox Chief hanging out with Hideo Kojima during his visit to Tokyo

Phil Spencer recently visited Tokyo, Japan, to attend the 2022 Tokyo Game Show. Further, the event was attended by many famous video game developers. One of those many game developers was Hideo Kojima, the Japanese genius and the mastermind behind games like the Metal Gear Solid series and Death Stranding.

Kojima recently shared some pictures with Spencer, who visited his office. It is no secret that Xbox and Kojima Productions are cooking something exciting. We already witnessed in August that the Xbox Game Pass for PC added Death Stranding, an action game Kojima developed for PlayStation.

Further, Spencer recently shared in an interview that he knows Sony is better than them in the gaming industry. However, he also wants to improve Xbox, making deals and investments to strengthen the brand’s name in the gaming industry. Spencer even said he loves to visit Tokyo, where he meets talented developers and has a partnership with Kojima production.

Kojima even appeared on Xbox & Bethesda Showcase 2022, discussing his excitement at working with Xbox’s cloud technology. So, Xbox fans should look forward to playing a Kojima masterpiece in the future. However, this news might not be very joyful for PlayStation fans.
