Xbox Chief Phil Spencer Saves the Day For Microsoft Staff

Xbox dropped a great surprise for its employees. Recently, Microsoft’s 238,000 employees complained about one specific plan of Microsoft. However, now it looks like the employees have successfully managed to reverse that. But the savior of employees is none other than Xbox boss Phil Spencer.

Now Spencer’s soft corner for employees is not new. Previously this Xbox chief wholeheartedly welcomed the new teammates from Activision Blizzard with a promise to mutually work for the betterment of the company. Now, this talented personality has once again won its employees’ hearts.

It was not long before when Microsoft spoke about its plans to remove the UltimateXbox Game Pass free access to its employees. However, employees didn’t sit back after that. They expressed serious objections against this rule, which was supposed to be implemented in 2024. Now assuring them, Xbox boss Phil Spencer announced that Microsoft is no longer sticking to its old plan. In fact, Microsoft employees will continue to enjoy free access to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Spencer said- “After looking into this more with the team, I just want to confirm that no change will be made to Game Pass availability in 2024. If you have access to the Game Pass offer today you will continue to have access.”

After Spencer’s confirmation, employees are relieved. This is because they have been enjoying this free access since 2019 when Xbox launched its subscription network. However, the employees were accessing the Xbox Game Pass Gold back then. While Xbox fans are truly happy with the decision, Xbox didn’t reveal why the decision was proposed in the first place.
