Fans of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 are currently waiting for the live-action feature film based on the beloved furry and speedy gaming character. And Xbox just added a cherry on the cake by revealing an exciting offer for them.
Xbox announced that they are organizing a contest for Sonic the Hedgehog 2 fans. Fans can win a custom Series S console and controller, highly inspired by the upcoming movie next month.

Fans not impressed with Xbox and its massive Sonic the Hedgehog 2 announcement!
On its official Twitter account, Xbox shared information about a major contest regarding the new movie. It mentioned that one lucky fan has a chance of winning a custom Xbox Series S console and controller. They are specially made by taking inspiration from the Sonic 2 movie itself.
We might need glasses because these controllers look fuzzy.

As you can see, the product looks quite furry and unique as well in the classic red and blue colors.
For taking part in the contest, all the interested users need to retweet the above tweet. Also, they have to use #XboxSonic2Sweepstakes to stand a chance to eventually win the custom Xbox Series S controllers.
However, it looks like fans themselves didn’t seem too impressed with this revelation from Xbox. Many of them didn’t like the appearance of the custom controllers at all. Instead, most of the users mentioned they are not very interested in this contest, let alone having the Sonic 2 movie-inspired controllers.

As for the awaited film, it’s the sequel to the 2020 predecessor, based on the iconic gaming franchise by Sega. It will release on April 8, 2022, in theaters worldwide.
Ben Schwartz is coming back as the voice of Sonic the Hedgehog. Other cast members include the likes of James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, and Adam Pally. Shemar Moore, Idris Elba, and Jim Carrey are in key roles as well.
Meanwhile, fans of the gaming series can play its multiple titles at the moment ahead of the film’s debut.
