Last week, Xbox outsold PlayStation in Japan, and fans are having a hard time believing it. Japan is one of the world’s fastest-growing markets for gaming. From Nintendo to Xbox, many gaming giants face tough competition to gain most of the country’s market share. Recently in Japan, the next-gen console Xbox Series S alone outsold PlayStation 5 for the very first time.

It’s a big deal because Xbox hasn’t outsold PlayStation since the launch of Xbox One in 2014. However, since the dawn of Xbox, they have outsold PlayStation but less than ten times. According to the latest reports, last week in Japan, Series S (excluding Series X) sold around 6100 units, while PlayStation 5 (including both digital and disc versions) has made sales of around 2600 units.
