Microsoft’s Xbox and PC Game Pass services are currently their most lucrative offerings. Ever since its launch, it has proven lucrative for both gamers and the company itself. We have to understand that its Netflix-like subscription-based service model might not appeal to everyone, but it is something that those who do not like to devote their lives to one title appreciate.

And Microsoft seems to understand this; hence, they have been continuously working on expanding it. They have yet again introduced a new update to their plans.

Another aspect that makes this service worth spending some money on is the fact that it gives gamers early or day-one access to a bunch of new games. Those can be first-party Microsoft titles or a bunch of indies or triple-A titles that Microsoft strikes some sort of deal with. And now it appears Microsoft has decided to give people even more options to choose from.

Recently Microsoft launched a new Friends and Family tier for this subscription service. Fans can buy this tier if they aim to share their library with their friends and family. It was revealed by the official Xbox Game Pass account. This page lists a bunch of perks that subscribers get.

These perks include the ability to share these games with up to five members of your family or friends. Each account has its own unique Gamertag, history, achievements, and saves. Multiple people can play at the same time on a console, cloud, and PC. It would cost subscribers $39.95 per month to subscribe to this tier.

These features are really something; it appears Microsoft has seen the value in offering fans a much easier and better way to share games with others. Another thing making this new tier worth it is the increasing possibility of Microsoft and Activision’s $68.7 billion deal.
