Xbox Gold is Microsoft’s gaming subscription service. Subscribers can choose to pay $10 for a monthly subscription or $60 for an annual one. In return, they get benefits like access to online multiplayer features for supported games, discounts, and even new free games every month. It is essentially Microsoft’s rendition of PlayStation Plus.

For the month of July, Microsoft is giving Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers four free games. The list includes Planet Alpha, Rock of Ages 3: Make & Break, Conker: Live & Reloaded, and Midway Arcade Origins. Planet Alpha and Conker will be the first games that players can access starting July 1st right up to the end of the month.

Rock of Ages 3 and Midway Arcade Origins can be claimed for free starting July 16. In addition to this, Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can still download three of June’s Games with Gold titles: The King’s Bird and Injustice: Gods Among Us (available until June 30), and Shadows: Awakening (until July 15).

Which games does July’s Xbox Gold subscription contain?

Planet Alpha released in 2018 as a visual treat from Team17. In the game, players are marooned on an Alien island and are forced to “venture across the beautiful foreign land and unlock its many hidden secrets. With relentless enemies pursuing you, harness the power of night and day in your fight to stay alive in this alien world.”

On the other hand, Rock of Ages is a tower defense and arcade-style action game. It features absurd takes on legendary characters and gives you the reigns to create custom levels.

Conker: Live and Reloaded is a remake of the famous Conker franchise on Nintendo. This game introduces us to Conker, gaming’s favorite squirrel, and includes unique multiplayer aspects absent from its predecessors. Lastly, “Midway Arcade Origins is the ultimate collection of retro Midway titles. Enjoy over 30 games now with multiplayer, achievements, and Leaderboard support. Players will be able to play their way through the golden age of arcade gaming by experiencing the titles that defined a generation of gamers.”
