Without any doubt, the focus was on Call of Duty, given the current scenario. Everyone is aware about Microsoft’s proposed acquisition of Activision Blizzard, being worth $68.7 billion.

Considering that, Phil Spencer said that “Call of Duty specifically will be on PlayStation.” This was to indicate that even after the acquisition by Microsoft, Activision’s billion-dollar action franchise won’t become Xbox exclusive. It will remain on Sony’s consoles as well. The Verge’s Tom Warren shared these details on Twitter.

However, Mr. Spencer also emphasized making Call of Duty even more reachable. And for that, he wants to go beyond the realm of Xbox and PlayStation. “I’d love to see it on the Switch, I’d love to see the game playable on many different screens. Our intent is to treat Call of Duty like Minecraft,” he said.

If that’s really what the head of gaming at Microsoft thinks, then most of the players will surely feel relieved. Especially the ones who are thinking that Phil will make CoD Xbox exclusive once the acquisition of Activision is completed.
