Microsoft has finally completed the Activision Blizzard deal. Developers like Infinity Ward, Treyarch, etc. are now part of Xbox Studios. And who doesn’t know about the vast library of games that come with this publisher?

Of course, everyone knows about Call of Duty, but Activision’s name has been attached to much more than that over the years. From massive action-adventure games to superhero titles, Activision has done it all. Now, following the completion of the merger, here’s a list of five games that Microsoft hopefully remakes from Activision’s catalog of titles.

James Bond 007: Blood Stone

One of the few licensed games with an original story to stand on. It’s a unique third-person action game that mixes stealth and action as well as driving in exciting ways. The developers of this game were Bizarre Creations, the same people who used to work on Project Gotham Racing.

Hence, the driving segments of this game were full of action and a sense of being there. The game itself is top-notch and makes players feel like James Bond. If Microsoft decides to bring it back with improved visuals, it will definitely stand out.

Deadpool

Yes, years ago, someone at Activision greenlit a very unique superhero title starring none other than Marvel Studios’ fourth wall-breaking Deadpool. The game was your standard beat-em-up title. But Deadpool, as he always does, stole the show with his off-color jokes and unmatched antics.

This game was made available on steam in 2015 after being previously taken down due to license issues. But it was later re-released. Now it would be much better if Microsoft decided to remake this game as their answer to Sony’s Spider-Man. Of course, they are far different from each other in many ways. Deadpool, too, has become a household name nowadays.

Transformers: Devastation

A Transformers game made by Platinum Games—this is all one needs to say when talking about this title. Another fast-paced beat-up set in Hasbro’s toy universe. This game looks pretty vibrant with its chromatic aesthetics and plays even better with its fast-paced combos.

Previously, it did not get much traction due to a lack of marketing; maybe this time things would be different.

Call for Duty: World at War

While they did a commendable job of bringing Modern Warfare 1 and Modern Warfare II to modern platforms, it was puzzling that Activision did not even consider doing the same for World at War.

It was such a classic that it would be a mind-blowing experience to see that game in modern visuals. Many Call of Duty fans nowadays might not even know that Zombies mode started with World at War.

Prototype

Back then, Activision was good at making games that were not Call of Duty, and they charged Radical Entertainment with the development of Prototype. An action-heavy, dark superhero game where the main character is more anti-hero.

Full of gore and ridiculous action set pieces, this game had no shortage of fun factors. It is a mystery to this day why Activision never followed up with a third game. Well, let’s hope Microsoft changes things and gives fans a sequel as well as remakes just for refreshers.
