Xbox Series X launches November 2020

While some fans were disappointed over the news that Halo Infinite was delayed, Xbox has decided to keep their community happy with news on their new console launch.

Xbox has confirmed that users can play up to 1000 games when the console launches. Before you jump into any sort of conclusions, let me clarify better. Xbox already supports backward compatibility; put short, a way to play older console titles in the newly launched ones. The four generations of content hints at Xbox, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.

There will be thousands of games to play, spanning four generations, when Xbox Series X launches globally this November and over 100 optimized for Xbox Series X titles, built to take full advantage of our most powerful console, are planned for this year

Furthermore, over 100 titles have been optimized for Xbox Series X, meaning they’d bring in the sort of experience you’d expect from a new-gen product. The list includes over 40 popular games that are optimized such as Destiny 2, Forza Horizon 4, Madden NFL 21 among some others.

The other titles are more than playable, but aren’t specifically optimized, so they’d be unable to make use of the powerful new features of the new Xbox.

The new console brings in never before seen features and this will in turn help in faster loading, quick resume, and overall satisfying experience for next-gen games. Older titles are being improved with increased resolutions up to 4K, new HDR reconstruction, better frame rate, and image quality.

What’s all in-store?

Now, more than 50 new titles are coming to Xbox Series X. The likes of Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, Dirt 5, Watch Dogs: Legion, Gear Tactics, and more.

Microsoft is not falling short in terms of exclusives as well. The Medium, Scorn, Tetris Effect: Connected and more will launch alongside Xbox Game Pass.

If you have already got one of the games for your current-gen consoles, you need not get them when Xbox Series X drops. With Smart Delivery, you can seamlessly play those titles on your new console as well.

From September 15, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members can play over 100 games. That is directly from the cloud on their Android phone or tablet. You read that right, more mobility and freedom to console gaming. Achievements, friends list, and even your controller settings will be carried forward to your phone or tablet.

Now with all that hype, things are just starting to get better over at Microsoft. Sony hasn’t announced any launch date for PS5 as of yet. They could soon and by the looks of it, the console war is all set to begin.
