Xbox Showcase 2023: Cyberpunk 2077 Drops an Intense Trailer for Phantom Liberty DLC, the Next Massive Chapter in the Open-World Saga

The Xbox Showcase event turned on the heat by giving a massive surprise to Cyberpunk 2077 lovers. The open-world title from CD Projekt RED just received a brand new, gameplay trailer for its anticipated DLC expansion – Phantom Liberty.

Johnny Silverhand aka Keanu Reeves himself unveiled the next major chapter in the ambitious saga. Although the DLC update was expected to arrive closer to the game’s initial debut, it got delayed extensively because of several factors. But now, it’s finally going to make its way later this year!

As is already known, the new downloadable content will feature acclaimed Hollywood actor Idris Elba as a protagonist. An entirely new area in Dogtown will be introduced for the players to explore this time, in another district of Night City. Players will have the mammoth task of rescuing the President of the United States of America.

In the original story of Cyberpunk 2077, the character of V was in focus. Now, the spotlight will shift to FIA agent Solomon Reed, played by Elba. Oh, and Keanu will be back again as well to reprise his role of Silverhand. He has turned into one of the most admired characters among fans in more than two years of this ambitious game’s life cycle.

As per the developer, the new expansion is more like a “spy-thriller”. Apart from mysterious secrets and twists to unearth, there will be tons of other activities to do. Simply because that’s the main point of diving inside an open-world title.

The DLC is now available for pre-orders. Players on all the platforms will be able to have it for $29.99 or local equivalent. Phantom Liberty arrives on September 26, 2023, with supported consoles being the Xbox Series X\S, Xbox One, PS5, and PS4. Not to forget PC users, who will be able to enjoy it too.
