The Xbox Games Showcase 2023 came with a huge amount of first-party and third-party games. Microsoft really pulled up their socks and delivered a banger event. One of the games that shined out was the latest entry of the Payday series. The series has definitely made a cult following for itself, with fans entranced by its heist-based FPS gameplay.

Now Xbox Games Showcase has raised the curtains on the latest entry of the series, Payday 3. With its dynamic graphics and fast-paced gameplay, the expectations of fans are surely rising up for this title.

Payday 3 revealed at Xbox Games Showcase 2023

The trailer of Payday 3 was nothing short of spectacular. The original crew of characters from 2011’s Payday: The Heist, is returning for this title. Furthermore, the game is set in New York City. The trailer begins with the crew planning a heist while the ringleader can be heard saying, “All right guys, it’s a simple job. Just in and out”. However, fans of the series know it is never a simple task.

The gameplay continues with action-packed scenes from the upcoming title. At first glance, the visuals look smooth with tons of options available for fans. Furthermore, many are considering this title to be a soft reboot of the series, as it takes place years after Payday 2. The developers have confirmed the title to be made in Unreal Engine. Due to this choice of the game engine, it will be the first in the series to have the same versions for both PC and Console.

The YouTube caption reads, “Step out of retirement back into the life of crime in the shoes of the Payday Gang, the envy of their peers and the nightmare of law enforcement wherever they go. Several years after the crew’s reign of terror over Washington DC has ended, they assemble once again to deal with the threat that roused them out of early retirement.”
